Stainless Steel Decking Screws, Used By Thousands Of Carpenters and DIYers Australia Wide
Stainless Steel 304 Decking Screws from Bremick Fasteners are trade quality, have high corrosion resistance and will last a long time under most environmental conditions. After spending thousands of dollars on decking timber, the last thing you want is tough job installing your screws. These screws are proven to meet and exceed Australian Standard AS3566.2 which addresses screw corrosion resistant standards. We've supplied these screws to hundreds if not thousands of carpenters, builders and DIYers with fantastic feedback.
These screws are perfect for decking projects more than 300 metres from the coast. Saline environments are highly corrosive and usually require a higher grade stainless steel 316.
Suitable board thickness
A minimum embedment of 25mm into the joist is required, so board thickness of 19-24mm is recommended. Thicker heavier boards would either require a 65mm decking screw or perhaps a Batten Screw.
Available in 500qty trade packs.
Pre-Drilling and Countersinking is recommended
The type 17 point aids in carving through the timber, however we recommend pre-drilling and countersinking when fixing hardwood boards, through using a tool such as the #10 SMART-BIT (see the video below). This ensures a smooth effortless installation that will reduce friction which can cause softer metal screws like stainless steel to more easily snap or burr.
Check out this video of the SMART-BIT pre-drilling/countersinking tool in action.
