Details

The SMART-BIT is a combination tool that simply and easily pre-drills and countersinks decking screws for hardwood, softwood and composite materials.

This model is specifically designed for Trim head screws, in particular 8 gauge in diameter. It also works perfectly with our Powers 9 Gauge Trim Head Stainless Steel Decking Screws.

Often used with hardwood timber such as Merbau, the quick, one step motion pre-drills your decking screws, and provides a neat countersink free of chipped, furry edges.

The Powerbolic bits have a special fluting that cuts through timber fast. Plus the bits are easily replaced.

These are very popular amongst our deck building customers and we highly recommend them for anyone considering building a deck with stainless steel decking screws.

Check out this video of the SMART-BIT pre-drilling/countersinking tool in action.
