Please note: AISI 304 stainless steel offers good general corrosion resistance but has lower resistance than AISI 316. It is not recommended for coastal, beachfront, or other highly corrosive/high-chloride environments , AISI 316 is the appropriate choice for those applications.

Sold by the metre, supplied as a single continuous length, not joined, spliced or cut into multiple pieces. Wire is usually cut to order from a 305m or 1000m reel. For longer runs, the full reel is available separately.

Quality Control Processes

• Sourced from a single selected Korean manufacturer, so specification is consistent between batches.
• All wire rope is supplied and marked with the ProRig brand name.
• Raw material is sourced from POSCO.
• Descaling of the stainless steel rods conducted to remove any contaminants prior to production.
• Subjected to multiple annealing processes.
• Analysed for consistent shine and brightness.
• Passed through multiple ultrasonic baths to remove any impurities.
• Multiple quality control checks, laboratory analysis, testing and final break load tests.

Mill Certificates

ProRig wire rope is manufactured in South Korea from POSCO raw material, under an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certified by LRQA. Mill test certificates are available on request, detailing product specification, chemical composition, wire tensile grade, tested break load and country of manufacture (South Korea).

Break load is not a working load. This wire is widely used in wire balustrade. Whether a finished barrier complies depends on how it is built, including post spacing, wire spacing and tension. Those requirements are set by the National Construction Code and confirmed by your building surveyor or certifier.
