Secure your espalier / trellis wire with this discreet and strong Espaliex 42mm Wire Trellis Hub.
Successful installation is quite simple and doesn't require any special crimping or swaging tools. First, to secure the fitting onto the wall or post, you'll need a 75mm #2 Phillips drive bit or a screwdriver. Drive the self-tapping screws provided through the internal shaft and through the base opening into the wall mounting point.
To install the wire, thread the wire through the holes, and then secure the wire in place by twisting the grub screw down using a 6mm allen key. Repeat the process above and pull the wire taught using a pair of pliers. Add end caps (sold separately here) to protect the wire from fraying and pricking fingers.
Suits 3.2mm wire.
Self Tapping Screw 10G x 1 3/4" (45mm) SS304 included. Pre-drilling essential when fixing into hardwood.
Optionally available wallplug for fixing into masonry/brick.
